چکیده
Carbon is a versatile element, and its allotropes play center role in both science technology. Further, doping of nitrogen into carbon network has been great interest as it leads to superior properties such chemical, mechanical electronic properties. Though the preparation ultrahard β-carbon nitride remains challenging one, owes attention due This work reports characterization crystalline on silicon (100) substrate. The X-Ray diffraction revealed that deposited film- have α β phases. calculated lattice parameters are found be = 6.26 Å, c 2.38 Å for β-C3N4 6.8 4.6 α-C3N4. photoelectron spectroscopy study confirms atom bonded tetrahedrally (sp3) with atoms expected formation C3N4, also presence C N trigonal (sp2) bond. surface morphology film examined by field emission scanning electron microscopy shows spheres.

Preparation and Characterization of Superhard Materials of Crystalline Carbon Nitride
13. ABSTRACT (Maximum 200 words) Prompted by the prediction of Cohen and coworkers that beta carbon nitride may have properties similar to diamond, there have been many attempts to synthesize this hypothetical metastable material. We successfully synthesized this material via epitaxial stabilization using TiN(lll) and ZrN(lll) as the growth template. The coatings were CN/TiN or CN/ZrN multilaye...
متن کاملGrowth and modelling of spherical crystalline morphologies of molecular materials.
Crystalline, yet smooth, sphere-like morphologies of small molecular compounds are desirable in a wide range of applications but are very challenging to obtain using common growth techniques, where either amorphous films or faceted crystallites are the norm. Here we show solvent-free, guard flow-assisted organic vapour jet printing of non-faceted, crystalline microspheroids of archetypal small ...
متن کاملInvestigation of phononic, dynamic and thermal properties of indium nitride in different phases
In this paper, the phonon, dynamic and thermal properties of indium nitride in two phases are investigated. The calculations are performed using the pseudopotantial method in the framework of density functional theory and by using the quantum-espresso Package. In the calculations, the exchange-correlation terms of LDA, GGA and PBE0 approximation are used. Investigation of phononic properties s...
متن کاملGrowth and Properties of Carbon Nitride Thin Films
Recent research on carbon nitride thin films grown using pulsed laser deposition combined with atomic beam techniques is reviewed. The composition, growth mechanism and phases of these films have been systematically investigated. The nitrogen composition was found to increase to a limiting value of 50% as the fluence was decreased for laser ablation at both 532 nm and 248 nm wavelengths. Time o...
متن کاملGrowth of Carbon, Boron Nitride and ZnO Nanotubes for Biosensors
Nanotubes have significant portions of their atoms located at the surfaces and represent the future of biological devices. With such small dimensions, sensitivities and applications previously impossible are being made real. Not all nanomaterials are currently at the same level of proficiency, however. Carbon nanotubes are a mature, easily grown and controlled nanostructure, but boron nitride a...
